Yurok People StoryMap

The Yurok G.I.T. program completed a grant, Access to Ancestral Land. The grant was awarded by the California Tribal Fund and First Nations Development Institute for Indigenous Stewardship strengthening in California-based tribes. This grant was made possible through the generous support of the Elizabeth R. & William J. Patterson Foundation, the Clarence E. Heller Charitable Foundation, the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, and the Walter and Elise Haas Fund. With the grant outline, Katie Piper of G.I.T. created an amazing StoryMap illustrating the historical timeline changes experienced by both the landscape and Yurok people since contact.
