Since June 1, 2020, the Yurok Tribe and California State Parks have worked together in a government-to-government partnership through a historic joint powers agreement. This collaboration creates opportunities to share the rich heritage of Yurok People with all who visit our parks within the ancestral territory.

We invite you to join us for a guided tour of the Chah-pekw O’ Ket’-toh “Stone Lagoon” Visitor Center-the first tribally operated visitor center in the California State Parks system! Students will learn about the cultural significance of the lagoon and how its natural resources have supported Yurok people since time immemorial. Field trips are offered Wednesdays and Thursdays. To book a trip, please submit a Humboldt Lagoons Field Trip Reservation Request.
