The Yurok Tribe is the largest federally recognized Tribe in California. Dating back to the dawn of time, the Tribe has resided along the Klamath River and Pacific Coast in far Northern California. The Creator placed us here to maintain balance in the world, which we accomplish through ceremony and the physical restoration of the environment. Our everyday lived experience revolves around the protection and restoration of the Klamath, its tributaries and the forests surrounding the river.
