19th Annual State ICWA Conference
June 19-21, 2012
Hosted by the Yurok Tribe and California Indian Legal Services, at the
Blue Lake Casino - Sapphire Palace in Blue Lake, CA.
The conference will provide interactive workshops and discussions on ICWA requirements, active efforts and

Conference FAQs
- Which airport would we fly into?
Arcata /Eureka Airport- the code ACV. The airport is
actually in the town of McKinleyville. The airport only has one
airline, "United". If that Airport is full you can fly to Crescent
City (CEC) and that airport is about 1.25 hours from the
conference. -
- What is the mileage distance from the airport to the conference location?
Distance is about 10-15 miles from the airport to Blue lake Casino. There is a shuttle service and local taxi companies.
- Would you recommend car rental or a shuttle?
Shuttle should be sufficient but car would allow some site

- Are any meals provided/ included in the conference?
Yes. As of now there will be a small contential breakfast
each day and Lunch. Dinner will be provided the night of the
Cultural sharing.
- When will the conference schedule be available? What is the start and end time of the conference?
The conference schedule is now available for download. Download the Schedule.
Pre-registration will begin on Monday June 18th from 12-5. The
Tribal ICWA workgroup meeting and dinner will take place at 4.
Day 1, June 19th will begin with a continental breakfast and
registration at 7:00 and the opening prayer and welcome at 8:00. Day
1& 2 will end at 5. On the last day, June 21 the conference
will end at 12:45.
