Emergency Response
The Pollution Prevention Division (PPD) is responsible for responding to all significant releases of toxic substances into the environment. PPD staff are trained to respond, assess, contain and cleanup many different types of spills. The Yurok Tribe is also a member of the regional Haz-Mat response team based out of Eureka.
To report a spill to PPD, please contact Ken Henderson at 707-954-0691. For spills requiring immediate response call 911, as well as Ken Henderson.
