Pem-Mey Fuel Mart is located at the heart of the Klamath Valley located in the very top of northern California and is owned and operated by the Yurok Tribe. Travelers are pleasantly surprised to find that fuel is usually less expensive here than from surrounding areas. Remember to fuel up before beginning your trek.

You’ll find a giant map of the local area with interesting landmarks noted in the Pem-Mey Market.

Local handcrafted items, postcards and books on the Yurok culture can also be found at this unique gathering point. Coming soon, a self-guided driving tour on CD and cassette.

Sit and enjoy your meal in the sparkling clean dining area and meet some of the friendly locals. You may even hear some of the local Yurok language being spoken.

Yurok Tribal Headquarters

The Yurok Tribal Headquarters are located within walking distance from Pem-Mey. Visitors are welcome. Be sure to stop in and take a tour of the beautiful display of tribal art. T-shirts and hats are available for purchase.
