How to support a victim of sexual assault

  • Let them know that you care & believe what they tell you.

  • Be willing to listen, without giving advice or telling them what to do.

  • Reassure them that they are not to blame and did nothing wrong.

  • Ask before touching the survivor. They may not want to be touched.
